ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 16, 2022) - Orlando City SC forward Jack Lynn will join USL Championship side San Antonio FC on loan for the remainder of the 2022 season with the right of recall, it was announced today.
“Jack has done really well with us this season and has shown us a nose for goal, high potential and a strong work ethic,” said EVP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Luiz Muzzi. “We’re excited about the opportunities of this loan for Jack to get even more competitive minutes and experiences in this last portion of the 2022 season.”
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Lynn has made four appearances across all competitions for the Lions, making his debut as a second-half substitute on April 24 against the New York Red Bulls. The 22-year-old forward made 16 starts in 17 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro this season for Orlando City B, scoring 15 goals and providing four assists, with his goal total currently third highest in the league and the most among the Lions.
San Antonio FC currently sits in first place in USL Championship’s Western Conference and at 63 points, leads the entire league. With six games remaining in the regular season, SAFC has already qualified for the USL Championship playoffs.
