ORLANDO, Fla. (July 22, 2022) - Orlando City SC homegrown Wilfredo Rivera will join USL Championship side Indy Eleven on loan for the remainder of the 2022 season with the right of recall, it was announced today.
“Wilfredo continually looks to improve his game day in and day out, and we think this loan is just the next step in furthering his development,” said EVP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Luiz Muzzi. “Wilfredo will be able to fight for increasingly competitive minutes over the course of this loan and we look forward to seeing how he progresses over this period.”
A native of the Quintana neighborhood in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Rivera has made nine starts in 10 appearances for Orlando City B in 2022, scoring one goal and providing three assists. The 18-year-old has also made 14 appearances and scored three goals for the Puerto Rican National Team across all age groups.
