ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 17, 2025) – Orlando City SC has signed midfielder Joran Gerbet to a First Team contract through 2025, with Club options in 2026, 2027 and 2028, it was announced today. The Lions selected the Clemson University product with the 27th overall pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.
"Joran is a great young player that we identified through our detailed analysis and scouting process ahead of the draft,” said Orlando City EVP of Soccer Operations and General Manger Luiz Muzzi. “He has done well and worked hard in training this preseason and has great technical abilities that we feel really add to and complement our preferred style of play.”

Gerbet, 23, was selected out of Clemson University with the 27th overall pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft. The Valence, France, native played two seasons at Oregon State before transferring and playing his final two years at Clemson, making 76 starts in 78 total appearances across his collegiate career and scoring 12 goals and providing 15 assists in those matches. A 2023 National Champion with Clemson, Gerbet was named the ACC Midfielder of the Year and First Team All-ACC in 2024, was named the 2022 PAC-12 Player of the Year at Oregon State and All PAC-12 First Team and was the PAC-12 Freshmen of the Year in 2021.
