ORLANDO, Fla. (January 15, 2018) - Orlando City SC signs Paraguayan attacking midfielder Josué Colmán as a Young Designated Player to a five-year contract including Club options, pending receipt of his ITC and P-1 Visa.

Colmán joins Orlando City from Club Cerro Porteño of Paraguay's Primera División, where he appeared in 32 league matches in 2017, earning 28 starts and scoring one goal while playing a key role in the attack and helping Cerro Porteño to a Torneo Clausura championship. Colmán saw an increased role in his second season with Porteño after scoring three goals in 16 appearances, 15 of them starts, in 2016. Colmán also made five starts among seven appearances in Copa Sudamericana in 2016 and 2017.
The Asunción, Paraguay, native has made 16 appearances for Paraguay U-17 and U-20 national teams, most recently making two starts at the 2017 South American U-20 Football Championship. Colmán scored one goal in three appearances at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Colmán will occupy an international roster slot.
