ORLANDO, Fla. (April 18, 2023) — The Orlando Pride has added forward Maliah Morris to its roster as an Injury Replacement Player, it was announced today. Additionally, forward Julie Doyle has been added to the 45-day Disabled List following an ankle injury sustained during the Pride’s home opener against Angel City FC.
“Maliah has worked hard during the preseason and we’re excited to see her rewarded. She’s a talented player who will be able provide additional competition and depth to the roster, particularly over this very important stretch of games,” VP of Soccer Operations and General Manager Haley Carter said. “We’re sad to see Julie sidelined but are looking forward to providing the support she needs to get back on the field and continue with the strong start to the season she was having.”
During her time at Clemson University, Morris received numerous accolades including 2022-23 All-ACC Academic Team, 2022 Third Team All-ACC, 2022-21 United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-Atlantic Region, and was twice named ACC Offensive Player of the Week.
Morris joined the Pride as a Non-Roster Invitee during the 2023 preseason, appearing in multiple matches over the preseason schedule.
