KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Aug. 11, 2024) – Orlando City B (5-6-9, 28 points) and Crown Legacy FC (8-7-5, 33 points) played to a 0-0 draw at Osceola County Stadium on Sunday night. After 90 minutes of scoreless play, the young Lions dropped the end-of-regulation shootout 3-1.

Orlando City B had several opportunities on the night to break the scoreless draw, most notably from forward Shak Mohammed. Just before the end of the first half, Mohammed received a cross in the Crown Legacy box and was able to get a head on the ball, but it was deflected off another OCB player. Mohammed also had a shot hit off the post and another off the crossbar that would have given the Lions the upper hand late in the second half.

With two saves on the night, goalkeeper Carlos Mercado recorded his first clean sheet of the 2024 season, and the first clean sheet for the Lions since May 26.

For the second game in a row, OCB was forced to play down a man after picking up a second yellow card in the 74th minute.

The Lions will play host to New York City FC II for the first time this season on Sunday, August 18 at Osceola County Stadium. That match will kick off at 7 p.m. ET and will stream live on MLSNEXTPro.com
