ORLANDO, Fla. (March 5, 2025) – Orlando City B has signed defender Noham Abdellaoui to an MLS NEXT Pro contract through 2025, with a Club option in 2026, it was announced today. The center back will be available for OCB’s season opener against Columbus Crew 2, this Sunday, March 9, at Osceola County Stadium.
“Noham comes to us from some great academies in Europe that have a proven track record of developing great players, Genoa and Saint-Étienne, and we’re happy to have him with us now,” said Orlando City SC VP of Soccer Operations and Technical Director Ricardo Moreira. “We’re expecting him to bring both leadership and experience to the group, despite his young age, and he’ll also provide great depth for us at his position.”
Abdellaoui, 20, has featured in 50 matches for various European U-18 and U-19 sides, including for U.S. Lecce and for Genoa CFC, scoring three goals and providing one assist across those matches, claiming the Italian Primavera Championship in the 2022-23 season with Lecce Primavera. The center back has also gained experience at the international level, playing for Algeria’s U-18s twice in international friendlies.
