To kickoff the 2016 MLS Season, the Orlando City Foundation has launched itâs âArtist Seriesâ campaign for this yearâs Gameday Posters. This new approach will give artists locally and from all over the world a chance to create a monthâs worth of posters for the successful program. Over the course of just 12 games last season, Gameday Posters generated over $60,000 in charitable donations for the Orlando City Foundation.
For the month of March, two gameday posters will be crafted by local artist Hydro74, who created last seasonâs âThe Prideâ poster. The first one in the series, âDefendâ will be available at this weekendâs match against Real Salt Lake. The second, âConquerâ will be available at March 11th match against the Chicago Fire.
âWhenever you have a team come inâĤone, you have to defend your home turf, and second, you have to conquer them,â said Hydro74 when asked about his inspiration.
While Hydro74 calls himself a âwizard and warlockâ behind the computer screen, Each portion of this digital piece of art can take upwards of five hours to create. All done will working on projects for some big clients in the entertainment industry.
Youâll be able to find Hydroâs posters at the next two home matches and you can find his personal work (including some pretty sick Star Wars prints) at his website here.
